What this website does with your information.

In short: the site does not track you, does not use advertising or analytics, and sets no cookies for visitors.

Who is responsible

This website is run by Pinnacle Pharmaceuticals, the responsible party for the personal information it handles under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Batch searches

When you search for a batch, the number you type is sent to our server to find the record. We do not keep a list of searches or link them to you.

The dosing calculator

The calculator works entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent anywhere.

Cookies

Visitors get no cookies. Staff who sign in to update batch records get one cookie that keeps them signed in for up to eight hours. It is removed when they sign out.

Staff records

Staff who change batch records sign in with their name. The name is stored with each change, so that every change to a record can be traced to the person who made it.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, including the page requested and your IP address, so that the service can run and be protected from abuse. Batch records and certificates are stored with Vercel in Cape Town, South Africa. A copy of the batch records and their change history, including the names of the staff who made each change, is saved each day and kept for 30 days so that the records can be restored after a mistake.

Fonts and everything else on these pages are served from this site, so your browser does not contact other companies when you visit. Links to SAHPRA and other websites take you to sites with their own privacy notices.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) (opens in a new tab).
